BBDO wins Pepsi Indonesia brief

JAKARTA: BBDO has been awarded the PepsiCo International task, with the brief set to include Pepsi, 7-Up and Mirinda.

BBDO was assigned the business without a pitch, handing a blow to incumbent agency Pratama, which had held the account for two years. Jean Paul Burge, regional business director, BBDO Asia-Pacific, said PepsiCo selected BBDO due to its extensive network and creative firepower.

BBDO handles PepsiCo in China, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Singapore. In Indonesia, the account will be managed by business director Putra Abduljalil and ECD Didit Indra.

"In the past few years, PepsiCo has had favourable economic growth in Indonesia. We intend to build on the success of the Pepsi Blue Indonesia launch, which achieved the highest launch volumes of any Pepsi product launch on record," said Burge.
