UM Melbourne hires David Angell as general manager

AUSTRALIA - UM Australia has announced that it has hired David Angell, formerly of Ikon Melbourne, as general manager of its Melbourne operations, a newly created role.

Angell will start work 2 July and report to Wendy Gower, Melbourne managing director.

Angell's most recent position was client services director at Ikon Communications in Melbourne, where he led the company's efforts for department-store giant Myer. In his career he has also been partner, client leadership, with Mindshare and held several positions at ZenithOptimedia, including business director.  

Gower said that Angell’s seniority and industry experience make him a valuable addition to UM’s management ranks. As well as Myer, he has experience across major brands including Jetstar, General Mills, iiNet and BP.
