Thomas will succeed outgoing chairman Raymond So, who announced his resignation in October, after four years in the post. He will report to Andrew Robertson, president and CEO, BBDO Worldwide, and Michael Birkin, chairman and CEO, Omnicom Asia. At Proximity London, Thomas led a highly-awarded outfit which picked up significant new business from the likes of Yell, Hewlett-Packard and Shell. In a statement, Robertson said: "For the past two years, Chris has been leading Proximity London, delivering award-winning work, new business and revenue growth. Chris is a great 'people developer' and team builder. He will be a great leader for this growing region."
