Toyota hands activation brief for motor show to Tequila in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Toyota has re-appointed Tequila in Indonesia to take on activation and promotion duties for the car brand at the Indonesian International Motor Show 2010.

This is the second year in a row that Tequila will oversee Toyota’s exhibition at the 18th edition of the motor show. Following up on last year’s theme – ‘Drive For a better live’, this year’s show will be centred on ‘Eco Technology Motoring’.

Tequila will manage the overall program for Toyota during the 10-day exhibition and will develop the show’s concept and ideas for the car brand as well as its mechanism and implementation.

According to local reports, Toyota sold 66,307 cars in Indonesia in the first quarter of this year, up by 62.4 per cent from the same period last year.

The Japanese car brand is targeting 216,000 units to be sold this year while the target for the country’s domestic car sales are 600,000 units.
