MEDIA-I: TVB.com link-up opens door to rich media uses

HONG KONG: TVB.com, a member of the Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB)

group, has renewed its partnership with Real Media to boost its rich

media advertising capability.

The partnership allows advertisers on the site to display both banner

and video advertising, using Real Media's Open AdStream (OAS) system to

administer ads.

The software provides web publishers with a summary of a site visitor's

unique characteristics, helping it to precisely target, schedule and

track the performance of each ad.

It also allows web publishers to make the most of different parts of the

websites.

Miko Ho, TVB.com sales manager, said: "The OAS system has enabled us to

determine our ad inventory, control our ad frequency, link companion

banners, and exclude competitive advertisers' ads on the same page.

"The new video ad feature is novel and has attracted a lot of eyeballs

to our website."

The TVB.com website was launched in June last year.

It offers Chinese language content relating to lifestyle issues through

an interactive multimedia network. It also has community features and

e-commerce.
