Mark Newton joins Blue Interactive Singapore as group engagement director

SINGAPORE – Blue Interactive, WPP’s digital arm, has appointed Mark Newton (pictured) as group engagement director, reporting to managing director Chester Tan.

Newton joins Blue from Qais Consulting, in a position as managing director since 2007. Prior to this, he worked at Starcom Mediavest, XM, Yahoo and DoubleClick.

Newton has also worked with advertising agencies such as JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi and Batey.

Managing director Tan said Newton's strong professional history and experience in the industry is a huge advantage to the agency. "That, coupled with a background in traditional advertising and media is quite powerful - especially as the line between digital and traditional marketing continues to blur." 

Newton will be based at Blue's Singapore office.
