SPE Networks Asia to roll out two channels in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Sony Pictures Entertainment's SPE Networks Asia is poised to launch its AXN Beyond and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) channels in Indonesia.

The two channels will be available via Indonesia’s national pay-TV platform, Indovision, as part of the Galaxy Tier package.

According to a statement, AXN Beyond will offer a range of entertainment across mystery, fantasy, horror, suspense, supernatural and sci-fi genres; SET will cater to the interests of ‘modern women’.

Ricky Ow, senior VP and general manager of SPE Networks Asia, described Indonesia in the statement as “a huge market” with “one of the highest growth potentials across the region”.

The company already operates AXN, an English-language general entertainment channel, and Animax, a channel targeting younger audiences, on the same platform.
