SingTel launches F1 web drive

SINGAPORE - SingTel has partnered with Microsoft to launch a 'Grid Girls' website ahead of the inaugural Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.

Created by Crayon Digital, the site is powered by Microsoft’s Silverlight platform and features media functions which allow viewers to interact with the 20 Grid Girls - the models who will be lining up on the streets for the night race.

“Customer experience is a key differentiator for SingTel and it has taken this to a new level online and embraced user experience 2.0,” said Haresh Khoobchandani, director of business & marketing organisation for Microsoft Singapore.

A four-part reality TV programme on the Grid Girls will also break on 28 August on local television network, Channel 5, as the Lion City counts down to the F1 event in late September.
