While the German carmaker is well known for its Cayenne SUV model in China, it faces a challenge in building its sports car sales. The sports car segment remains particularly niche in China due to a preference for chauffeur-driven vehicles and an absence of high quality open roads. The Cayenne accounts for around 80 per cent of sales in the market.
The pitch is not believed to include media, which is currently handled globally by PHD.
