Novartis runs ad for vitamin tablets

HONG KONG - Novartis Consumer Health is running a month-long TV campaign to promote its vitamin C and calcium effervescent tablets Ca-C1000 Sandoz in time for the peak flu season.

The TV spot by Contract Advertising marks a change in strategy, showing a strong boy who outperforms others in sports and school work.

Pamela Chan, Brand Manager of Novartis said: “Our previous TVC campaigns were mostly from the corporate marketing angle, but we decided to see it from the children’s perspective, and make it easy to remember and memorable.”

“We want to create a brand message that strongly appeals to the kids, who are also key influencers in household purchasing, and make them engage with the idea, as children like to be stronger than other kids,” said Benny Ko, managing partner and head of client services at Contract Advertising.

The product's direct competitor in this product category is Redoxon.

The ad is Contract Advertising’s first campaign for this client. MEC is the media partner.
