MRM McCann today announced that Nick Handel has been promoted to Asia-Pacific regional managing director.

With almost a decade at McCann Worldgroup, Handel comes into the role having previously been CEO of McCann Worldgroup, and before that managing director of MRM McCann Singapore. He joined from Leo Burnett, where he was APAC regional director of digital.

In a statement, Handel said he aims to make MRM McCann the leading customer relationship agency in the region, as part of a renewed focus on APAC. The agency currently has clients including Cisco, General Motors, Mastercard, Unilever Food Solutions and Honeywell. Handel added that APAC digital spend is projected to grow 17% this year.

Kate MacNevin, global CEO of MRM McCann, said: “Nick has a proven track record in building one of the most successful teams in our MRM McCann network. He is absolutely the right person for our continued expansion in Asia Pacific and I am excited to see what the year will bring.”
