The region is focusing on attracting UK travellers, who already make up most of the destination’s European visitors.
Hume Whitehead, which specialises in travel PR and representation, was chosen out of seven shortlisted agencies to handle the account on a retainer basis.
The agency will target the tourism industry, including travel agents and tour operators, as well as the consumer press.
