Hyundai Construction calls creative pitch in Korea

SEOUL - Eight agencies are reportedly vying for a creative brief worth around US$10 million from Hyundai Engineering and Construction, one of South Korea's largest building firms.

Competing agencies are believed to include BBDO, Lee DDB and Leo Burnett, along with domestic players Grape, Hancomm, Innocean, Kim & AL Comm and Korad.

While the motivation for the pitch is as yet unclear, a source close to the review observed that the construction industry was experiencing a difficult period. The source added that the account had previously been “in the US$15 million range”.

The pitch is reportedly scheduled for 19 May.
