Omnicom Media Group earlier this week announced their acquisition of NIM Digital in the Mainland. The company specialising in media, search and digital production was founded in 2004 by president Benny Zhu. The pair have been pitching together since December last year.
Independent mobile ad network InMobi has launched an office in Taiwan, marking the next phase in its global expansion after setting up in Shanghai late last year. InMobi will now be able to directly service local clients Estee Lauder, Godgame, Taiwan Mobile and China Airlines. The company served 1 billion mobile ad impressions in the market during Q4 last year, marking a 15 per cent year-on-year increase.
In more news for the mobile network, Jayesh Easwaramony has come onboard as head of business development for Asia-Pacific. He joins InMobi from Frost and Sullivan and will seek to bring publishers and developers into the fold. The move comes in response to the rapidly growing demand for mobile advertising.
Bubu Reasi Perdana (Bubu) has been appointed by Unilever to handle social media duties for beauty brand Lux. The win adds to an existing relationship between the pair which already includes Unilever's Axe, Royco and Citra brands. Bubu is tasked with building awareness of Lux on social media and explore the brand's potential for direct interaction with its target audience.
MRM Worldwide has added John MacKay as general manager in Hong Kong, the network's regional hub for performance marketing. MacKay will be responsible for driving MRM's measurement, analytics, insight and optimisation practices as well as handling a host of regional clients out of the Hong Kong office. New GMs Sherman Lee and Joanna has also been installed at MRM Shanghai and Beijing, respectively.
Wwwins Isobar China has promoted Cherry Tang and Alvin Huang to media practice leader and managing partner of integrated media, respectively. The move answers the agency's need for strategic media innovation in its digital offering. Tang was previous director of digital media at Wwwins Isobar Shanghai whereas Huang adds his new responsibilities to an existing role as MD of Wwwins Isobar Beijing.

Catcha Digital has been named as the exclusive advertising representative in Malaysia, offering brands access to 200 million connected users per month.
Vikram Bansal has joined Aegis Media as head of services responsible for growing the company's digital assets. In his new role, Bansal will work closely with iProspect, TUS Isobar and Tigerspike, all under Aegis. He joins from a previous role as CEO of ZenithOptimedia in Singapore. During his 18 years in the industry, Bansal has also worked at GroupM in Singapore and FCB-Ulka and Mediacom in India.
WE Marketing has won a pitch to handle Lee Kum Kee's social media and seasonal creative campaigns in China. The agency joins OgilvyOne and Optimedia on the Hong Kong-based sauces and condiments manufacturer's agency roster.
