Agnes Lung has spent the better part of three decades in the trenches of brand marketing in offices of the likes of LVMH and Shiseido to scale a homegrown F&B brand into Japan and beyond. Today, as executive director and group chief marketing and digital Officer of Uni-China Group, she puts that hard-earned bird’s-eye view to modernise Hong Kong’s premier fresh food wholesaler and retailer while keeping one foot firmly in the nitty-gritty of execution.
At Uni-China, Agnes oversees marketing across 38 sub-brands, commands a nine-figure budget and leads a team of over 500. She steers an e-commerce push, a full CRM overhaul and also double-hats as a dealmaker under her executive director remit. Her équipe has helped land international heavyweights like Anchor Food Professionals and made the Classy Kiss Yogurt launch a success, exceeding sales targets by 250%. Uni-China also holds the sole distributorship for Nongfu Spring, China’s largest packaged drinking water supplier, a move that cements the group’s heft in brand partnerships category.
Before Uni-China, Agnes cut her teeth at Tam Jai International as executive director and group chief marketing and digital Officer for Hong Kong and international markets, pushing Tam Jai through its public listing. Under her remit, the group also expanded the noodle brand into Shenzhen, Singapore and Japan. Her Shenzhen launch strategy, in particular, was a masterclass in localised digital play, generating massive social proof on Dazhong Dianping, Xiaohongshu and Douyin.
Clear commercial success in marketing roles sets Lung apart. Her trophy cabinet is seriously peacocking with more than 70 marketing excellence awards amassed across local and regional circuits. An advocate for the next generation, she mentors young marketers and brings junior talent into working committees, and regularly speaks at industry forums, including IAB Hong Kong’s conferences as well as Campaign Asia’s Hong Kong and Shanghai events.
She’s on the executive committee of IABHK for the third year in a row, serves as a judge for the IAB HK Digital Awards and Yahoo Asia Big Idea Chair Awards, and lends her expertise to several other industry events.
