SINGAPORE - KFC Singapore has launched an out-of-home campaign at MRT stations and interchange for commuters to peel a fried drumstick off the wall, to celebrate its 35th anniversary.

Located at Harbourfront Station and Ang Mo Kio Interchange, the “wallscapes” celebrates the fast food chain’s 35th anniversary. The giant two-dimensional KFC buckets at the station are filled with a total of 500 peel-able drumstick stickers, each twice the length of an actual drumstick.

These wallscapes carry the message 'Peel off the drumsticks for a delightful surprise' and can be used in exchange for special SG$3.50 anniversary meals at selected KFC outlets.

Virginia Ng, marketing director at KFC, noted that the campaign has increased redemption rates at some outlets.

“This concept wall not only achieved our objective of driving top of mind for the brand, it was also interactive and connected with consumers.”

Jayne Kwek, CEO of Moove Media, noted this is a first-of-its-kind advertising concept for the company. “We are pleased that consumers have taken to it quickly.”

Moove Media is the advertising arm of ComfortDelGro, offering integrated outdoor advertisement platforms on SBS Transit buses and interchanges, rail, Comfort and CityCab taxis as well as ComfortDelGro buses.

The campaign runs until 22 April.
