Electronic appliances retailer Suning tasks Incite with brand strategies

BEIJING – Suning, one of the largest electronic appliances retailers in China, has tasked Beijing-based Incite Group with developing strategies for the brand, Campaign China has learned.

Incite will be responsible for Suning's film and TV production, including commercials, documentaries and infomercials.

The pitch, which involved several local agencies, was called in July and saw Incite go through several rounds of talks to finally secure the one-year contract in late September.

"Most of Suning's partners are 4A agencies like Ogilvy," said Jacky Lee, Incite's president. "The win indicates that we are being recognised by more and more world-class companies in China."

Founded in Beijing in 1996, Incite offers "all-wave brand incite services for Chinese and international clients", according to the agency's website. Its clients portfolio includes New York Life, China life and China National Petroleum Corporation.
