The agency's worldwide CEO Steve King said Chikli's "relentless energy is a huge asset" to ZenithOptimedia.

She transferred to China in 2011 after a successful six-year stint of being ZenithOptimedia's France MD cum CEO of Performics France.

King added that Chang's new role will enable him to "focus on his greatest interests", which are partnerships, business development and external communications.

Separately, Janice Foo has been named chief talent officer for ZenithOptimeda Asia-Pacific, on top of her old role as chief talent and transformation officer of VivaKi Greater China.

All three will report to Andras Vigh, who is VivaKi and ZenithOptimedia's Greater China chairman.
