Maclean will manage BBDO’s ExxonMobil business across the region. She moves from BBDO Beijing, where she managed the transition process for a number of recently acquired Mars brands, including Dove chocolate, as well as pet-care accounts. Maclean had additional responsibility for Snickers and M&Ms in a market where Mars leads the field.

Prior to that, Maclean had a brief stint with Lowe as group account director, focusing on Unilever’s Clear hair care brand. She joined Lowe from Ogilvy Singapore, where she worked across accounts such as Danone, Goodyear, Duracell, and Coca Cola.

Before her move to Singapore, Maclean was with Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand. Throughout her career she has been integral to many highly integrated, creative accounts, which have been acknowledged at the Effie’s, Cannes, One Show, and D&AD.

“The opportunity to work with high profile, global brands, teamed with joining the talented team at BBDO, part of a network that has a proven track record at excelling in creativity and effectiveness—a mantle that is elusive to many—was just too appealing,” Maclean said.

Jean-Paul Burge, SEA President of BBDO, added, “With her proven track record, we are extremely excited to have someone of Sarah’s calibre on board at BBDO Singapore.”
