2023 Kam Fan jury chair Ali Shabaz, the former chief creative officer of M&C Saatchi Singapore, commented on the Grand award: "It was a tough decision but what we were looking for [was] a piece of work that brought together a big idea with flawless execution. Something that at its heart was simple piece of creative thinking. That piece of work was 'Take Your Time To Rediscover The City'. It’s an idea that we felt not only captured very well the spirit of the brand but also the spirit of Hong Kong. It was charming and flawlessly executed. It’s also work that can run for many years which is really the test of any good idea."

Meanwhile, Ogilvy Hong Kong was named the Creative Agency of the Year, as ‘Undercover’ bagged the most number of medals—five Golds and three Silvers. OMD Hong Kong was named the Media Agency of the Year.

The event was attended by just under 300 guests which included Kam Fan jury members, marketers, brand owners, creatives, agency practitioners, and university students.

Rick Kwan, chairman of the 2023 Kam Fan Committee says, "It’s always good to see so many creative and advertising people getting together, it proves our determination to keep driving creative excellence within the industry."

40 years ago, in 1984, The Kam Fan Awards was inaugurated as a way of raising the bar of Hong Kong’s creative industry, and to celebrate great work.
