Sony launches PSP content offering

Sony has teamed with local travel magazine Weekend Weekly to launch a new content offering on its PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Touted as the world's first universal media disc (UMD) Chinese-language travel guide, the offering allows  PSP users to browse travel information which includes video and sound.

"Today's publishing industry is already very competitive and overcrowded, so it is an innovative crossover for us to deliver travel content on the PSP, which has a high and uncontested penetration of over 400,000 users in Hong Kong," said James Hong, senior manager at Sony Computer Entertainment.

The campaign is supported by a television commercial on iCable, along with print ads in other publications.
