Phan came on board this month in its Singapore office, and reports to MD Ang Shih-Huei and David-Wynne Morgan, CEO of Pelham Bell Pottinger Asia.

Phan (pictured) has over 10 years of PR industry experience in New York, Vietnam and Singapore, and was the regional director of Ogilvy PR’s global sustainability practice for Asia-Pacific, government and public affairs practice director of its Singapore office and prior to that, the director of Ogilvy PR’s Vietnam office.

In his new role, he will be responsible for building PBP’s network across the region and strengthening its capabilities and footprints across markets.

Since opening its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore last year, the firm has consulted Temasek Holdings, the Sri Lankan Government, Golden Agri-Resources and the Qatar Investment Authority.

“We now have aggressive plans to strengthen our presence in this region, especially as Asian companies and governments look to profile themselves globally,” said Morgan.

“Danny’s expertise in emerging markets and issues ranging from sustainability to international development are a perfect fit to lead the implementation of our regional vision.”

Pelham Bell Pottinger is the corporate and financial communications division of the Bell Pottinger Group in UK. It serves more than 150 clients, including The Bank of Iraq, The nation of Zambia, Emirates Airlines, The Bahrain Economic Development Board and Russia’s Nuclear Agency.
