Gogulan Dorairajoo
Chief Executive Officer
Rantau+
Malaysia
Gogulan Dorairajoo began his career in media and marketing roles at VisionScape and Fat Lizard before stepping into leadership at Rantau PR in 2003. By 2009, he became chief executive officer, transforming what began as a traditional PR consultancy into the purpose-driven, strategic communications firm now known as Rantau+.
A defining milestone was engineering Toyota's first-ever commercial football sponsorship in Malaysia, securing a collaboration with one of the country's leading football clubs. The partnership marked a category breakthrough, embedding an automotive brand into the heart of Malaysian football culture through a 12-month stakeholder engagement strategy that expanded brand relevance into youth development, grassroots football, and community upliftment.
Today, Rantau+ is a 34-year-old consultancy with strong regional presence and international recognition, including wins at the Sabre Awards. From the mid-2010s onward, Dorairajoo championed measurable communications, linking campaign outcomes to business, governance, and societal KPIs. Award-winning campaigns for environmental restoration and rural connectivity reframed communications as a driver of socio-economic impact. His work for investment firm MEASAT demonstrated how storytelling could elevate rural broadband access into a national empowerment narrative.
Dorairajoo leads by example, combining discipline, energy, and a passion for performance both on and off the field. He actively mentors emerging talent at Rantau+, guiding them in strategic thinking, award-winning campaign development, and leadership skills.
To Quote: "Gogulan's strategic insight and understanding of Malaysian football culture allowed us to craft a campaign that went far beyond traditional sponsorship." -Nicky Lim, General Manager at Toyota Malaysia
