“We don’t have enough customer support for the AIS service, though our business portfolio in other areas in media and consumer research service are still healthy. We have to prioritise our investment and resources,” said Agnes Hui, communications director at Nielsen.
The decision does not affect Nielsen's AIS business in other parts of the world. In Hong Kong, other Nielsen services remain intact, including consumer research, FMCG retail measurement, Nielsen Online and Mobile and Media Index.
