Dragonair touts success to mark 20th anniversary

Dragonair has launched a print campaign that uses the visual of drops of water to depict the success it has enjoyed over the years for its 20th anniversary promotion.

The print and outdoor campaign, created by DDB, is the latest facet of an extensive through-the-line push by the airline, which includes a specially-painted A330 aircraft, to mark its anniversary celebrations. "The water drops represent Dragonair building on the success it has enjoyed with its inflight service and network expansion in the past 20 years," said DDB's account director Grace Ip. The ad follows a one-minute segment, which ran on TVB over two weeks in May, showcasing milestones in local history with a link to Dragonair's past. One vignette looked at the opening of Chek Lap Kok airport. In addition, Dragonair has also launched a scratch and win inflight promotion, offering travel prizes.
