The airline will shortlist a total of eight entrants and invite them to Hong Kong for a final panel interview and a one-day challenge from 12 to 14 April. The challenge will involve the finalists touring Hong Kong for a day and using their initiative and creativity to post Twitter "tweets" and upload photos that capture the essence of the city's attractions.
The overall winner will receive an unlimited round-trip economy class tickets from Hong Kong to any destination of their choice on the networks of Cathay Pacific and sister airline Dragonair for 80 days between 1 June and 31 August 2011.
Similar to the Tourism Queensland's "the best job in the world" campaign, in return, the winner will be asked to submit a daily report on his or her travel experiences, including photos and videos, for posting on the Cathay Pacific Facebook fan page.
