Y&R strengthens creative team, appoints Nils Andersson as regional head of art

ASIA-PACIFIC - Y&R Asia-Pacific has strengthened its creative team with a number of new appointments and promotions in the region.

A key move has seen the appointment of Nils Andersson, former executive creative director at Ogilvy & Mather Beijing, as head of art for Asia-Pacific and chief creative officer for Y&R Beijing.

Edward Ong, Y&R's current regional creative director, has been promoted to regional head of copy.

In addition Trong Tantivejakul, Y&R Bangkok's ECD, has been promoted to chief creative officer for Y&R Thailand while Jon Chalermwong and Chkechai Kasernripitak will share the role of ECD at Y&R Bangkok. Badong Abesamis has been promoted to CCO in Manila.

Marcus Rebeschini, CCO of Y&R Asia said: “Y&R’s credo has always been about 'resisting the usual' and we’re fortunate to have like-minded creatives who want to work with a network they believe in. We welcome them to the family.”

Last December, Y&R appointed James Procter as CCO of Singapore, while Travis Sorge was appointed as CCO of Vietnam.
