With nearly 20 years of experience, Weiden has worked with clients across airlines, automotive suppliers, healthcare companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

He was most recently with Nielsen Holdings in Singapore, where he was director of global communications. In prior roles, he managed financial and crisis communications, litigation support and issues management at firms such as Gavin Anderson & Company. Weiden also ran his own communications consultancy from 2005 to 2010.

“His background covers a wide range of communications disciplines in both the US and Asia, which will prove invaluable in generating results for our clients,” said Baxter Jolly, vice-chairman of Weber Shandwick, Asia-Pacific.

“In addition to his wealth of experience, Joel brings with him a demonstrated commitment to mentoring and training,” Jolly added. “I greatly look forward to working with him, and I’m confident in his ability to build on our already strong foundation in Thailand.”
