Carat Korea wins Diageo's media business

SEOUL - Diageo Korea has handed its media account to Aegis’ Carat after a review that included incumbent BBDO, DDB Group and Universal McCann.

Carat Korea said it would provide strategic planning and buying in both traditional and new media, broadcast sponsorship, event promotions and outdoor advertising.

Last August, Diageo called a creative pitch for its Johnnie Walker brand in Korea. Its creative account is reportedly divided between Innocean, Grey and TBWA.

Diageo recently appointed Cho Kil-soo, former vice president of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, as its managing director.
