SHANGHAI - Johnson & Johnson has appointed AKQA as its digital agency of record to handle its baby products account in China.

Johnson & Johnson Baby appoints AKQA as China AOR

After winning a pitch that took place in November, AKQA will be responsible for developing the digital strategy, creative direction and social-media plan, as well as implementing the technology needed.

The last-known incumbents are believed to be Nim Digital and Vitamine.

Richa Goswami, Asia Pacific head of digital at Johnson & Johnson, confirmed the appointment of AKQA.

"Building on our global healthcare experience, we’re delighted to have been selected by Johnson & Johnson Baby,” added AKQA Shanghai managing director David Miller.

The last piece of work in public memory for Johnson's Baby in China, from Nim and Vitamine, was a multi-format campaign called 'Pump It forward' that urged businesses to provide a private place for breastfeeding moms to pump milk.
