Zespri elevates Kok Hwee Ng to CMO

The appointment comes after outgoing Jiunn Shih joined Driscoll's in September.

Zespri International has elevated Kok Hwee Ng to chief marketing officer.

Previously serving as general manager, global marketing, Ng brings over two decades of experience across FMCG and fresh produce sectors, including stints at Procter & Gamble and Mondelēz International in Asia. She will continue to be based at Zespri's sales and marketing hub in Singapore.

Since joining Zespri in 2017 as global marketing director, Ng has led key strategic initiatives, including a brand refresh and the development of its 2035 long-term demand strategy. Earlier this year, she joined Zespri's executive team, where she will collaborate with the brand's senior leadership.

As CMO, Ng has brought Zespri's market research team back into the marketing function to drive insights to effectively shape brand and consumer strategy. The team will continue to work closely with strategy.

“As chief marketing officer, my vision is to elevate Zespri to be the healthiest fruit brand in the world—an iconic brand that empowers our consumers, growers and people to thrive through natural nutrition," Ng said.

"Our brand is rooted in the land, nurtured by growers, and brought to life through the everyday choices of consumers around the world. That connection is powerful. My commitment is to build a brand that not only delivers exceptional taste and nutrition but also champions the well-being of communities. We will tell stories that inspire, innovate with purpose, and create value from orchard to table," she added.

Ng’s appointment follows Jiunn Shih’s departure from Zespri, after nine years, to join Driscoll’s as global CMO.
