OMD, which will manage the account out of its Singapore office, has started rolling out Sentosa's new campaign 'Take a new look' developed by sister Omnicom agency Tequila\Singapore.
Said Maurice Williams, Sentosa's marketing director: "OMD was able to offer Sentosa the unique advantage of a strong network, proprietary research, creative media solutions, and an energetic and fully committed team."
The campaign is part of a S$30 million programme, including product development, to relaunch the island as the leisure destination of choice in the coming years.
Sentosa - a small island off the southern coast of Singapore - is one of country's oldest tourist attractions, with hotels and a hodge-podge of individuals attractions of varying quality.
A management team brought in to rejuvenate the island has tapped design and production companies Jack Rouse Associates and BRC Imagination Arts, whose projects include Walt Disney World, Legoland and Nasa's Kennedy Space Centre, to give three of Sentosa's mainstay attractions - Images of Singapore, Fort Siloso and the Merlion - a new spin.
