The Nokia-Spirit microsite was developed by XM Asia-Pacific with computing technology from Akamai, and uses video interviews, text and imagery to extend Nokia's overall brand campaign, which revolves around the message of 'What if ...?'
"We executed the site in a very childlike and playful way," said Teo Siew Song, strategic brand manager for Nokia Mobile Phones Asia-Pacific.
"I don't think other media, such as print or TV, would do justice to such a complex concept for demonstrating our spirit."
The microsite also attempts to communicate Nokia's positioning of 'connecting people', says Teo.
"The concept is to leverage on the Nokia spirit of innovation and to create a site where people relate to Nokia in how our products and services interact with the world," she said.
