MTR enlists local celebrity in TVC to reach youth

HONG KONG: DDB has launched the latest television spot in MTR's 'More time for life' series. The spot, which targets the youth segment aged between 15 to 20, uses up-and-coming pop star Bo Bo, and features a song written for the spot by composer Lin Xi.

DDB creative, Alan Cheung, who worked on the campaign, said: "It was the MTR's decision to use a celebrity to attract more young people to the MTR. The earlier campaign we launched for MTR was more towards the parents - getting them home early to spend more time with the kids.

"The idea is that Bo Bo sees a guy at a party but doesn't have the chance to talk to him because he is talking to another girl. But she sees him again on the MTR - which brings them together."

The agency's creative team included Colin Ruffell, Louis Fung, Frankie Fung, Happy Kwong and Alan Cheung.
