KFC in Singapore has launched a through-the-line Chinese New Year campaign developed by McCann Erickson and designed to bring good fortune to households in China.

Chinese New Year is the time for family gatherings, good food and noisy relatives. This lighthearted TV spot shows how delicious KFC chicken will drown out unwanted pestering from grandmothers and aunts.

Farrokh Madon, executive creative director at McCann Erickson Singapore, explained: “We tapped in on the insight that youths are pestered during the Chinese New Year celebrations with questions about marriage and careers by their well-meaning elders.”

The new TV commercial ask consumers, especially youngsters, to 'discover a new way to celebrate’.

The campaign promotes the latest party combo and will also include print, outdoor, in-store and direct mail.
