Judgement day for Jimmy Lai as EasyFinder relaunches as Face

EasyFinder has rolled out a radical facelift of its publication, relaunching as Face via a new campaign that stars NextMedia owner Jimmy Lai.

Based around a biblical metaphor, Lai appears blue and bleeding, next to the tagline ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone’. EasyFinder has regularly attracted a slew of criticism for its controversial editorial coverage, although corporate creative officer Elaine Chow noted that this “spirit will not change”.

“The relaunch campaign is a revolu-tionary facelift from inside-out, which aims to fine-tune the magazine by adapting more to the market.  However, the spirit will not change — revealing controversial news and truth — but will be in better taste and more sensitive to media ethics,” she said.
