One of R3's biggest hires to date, DiSesa's appointment will allow R3 to add a creative consulting component to its services.
“We needed a creative leader with a stellar reputation and one who is an unquestioned client advocate. We were waiting for Nina,” said ShuFen Goh, R3 principal.
DiSesa's creative management series of workshops, seminars and lectures is designed to help clients better manage their creative resources to get the most out of agency relationships. "The reality is that it’s not that hard if you understand a creative person’s hot buttons and how to push them,” said DiSesa.
"Clients need a better understanding of the pivotal role they themselves play in getting more respect and better creative work from their agencies,” she added.
DiSesa served as chief creative officer of McCann from 1994 to 2004 and chairman of the New York office from 1998 until 2010, marking the first time the title was given to a creative director in the McCann Worldgroup system. In 1999, Fortune Magazine named her one of the 50 most powerful women in American business.
In 2008, DiSesa wrote best selling book Seducing the Boys Club about lessons learned over 30 years in advertising agencies including McCann Erickson, Y&R and JWT.
