F&N awards regional dairy business

KUALA LUMPUR - F&N Foods, a subsidiary of Fraser & Neave (F&N), has handed its regional dairy creative account to Bates141 Malaysia after a final two-way battle with McCann Erickson.

The company had initially invited four international agencies including Grey Advertising and Euro RSCG to pitch for the account.
In addition, Bates141 Singapore has been named the agency-of-record for some brands under F&N Foods Singapore.

“This double win is a very important consolidation for us, as we have been working to grow the brand at the local market level in Malaysia. This regional alignment will strengthen our partnership with the F&N food and beverage division as a whole, across two of its core markets,” said Wong Fatt Weng, managing director of Bates141 Malaysia.

“With both countries working side by side, these brands’ key messages in Singapore and Malaysia will be clearer and stronger,” added Edward Pank, general manager of Bates141 Singapore.

F&N’s key dairy brands in the region include Magnolia, Farmhouse F&N and Daisy. The company’s account was until now split among different agencies, with Grey handling Magnolia in several markets.
