Economist launches full audio edition

HONG KONG - Regional title The Economist has launched a podcasting service which incorporates its entire print edition, in a bid to improve its offer among time-poor executives.

The podcasts, which will be housed at Economist.com, will be offered free to existing subscribers, while non-subscribers can purchase each edition for US$8.

The audio edition will provide listeners with the opportunity to select individual sections from the print version, covering political, business, scientific and cultural content, or download the entire issue. The podcast is being developed in conjunction with Talking Issues.
