Cascade Brewery promotes the goodness of Tasmanian beer

Cascade Brewery welcomes viewers to the ‘beer country’ with a campaign called ‘The feel’.

Creative agency Droga5 Sydney is behind Cascade’s ‘The feel’ campaign driven from its home state of Tasmania, Australia.

Cascade is the oldest operating brewery in Tasmania. The 60-minute commercial is an informative ad featuring a Cascade brewer on a bike traveling across the hops field to show where the essence of the beer originates.

Notice the Tasmanian tiger 40 seconds in? Unfortunately this specie became extinct in the 20th century.

“This campaign really brings to life the Cascade Brewery and our 180-odd years of brewing expertise. The TVC heroes our home and of course, our brewers who pour passion and experience into making beer every day,” said Peter Sinclair, marketing director at Cascade.

David Nobay, creative chairman at Droga5, said the creative concept is based on the brand's simple truth, namely the genuine heritage and wonderful yarns of Tasmania.

Besides the TVC, the campaign also includes print and outdoor executions, as well as a new revamped website at Cascadebreweryco.com.au. Cascade has also repackaged its craft beer.

Droga5 Sydney has been working with Cascade since May 2009.
