Branding: Pepsi kicks off 'Foot battle' with Beckham's face

The new packaging, which was developed by Australia-based Energi, hit Singapore shelves this month.

Nick Lee, category marketing manager at Yeo Hiap Seng, Pepsi's bottler in Singapore, said: "The packaging ties in with the campaign and some of the packs also feature other players, as well as Beckham. It's out in time to take advantage of the football fever in the city."

Directed by Tarsem Singh, who also worked on the film The Cell, the TVC features some of the biggest names in football, including Beckham. As part of the 'football' push, customers at Cold Storage supermarkets can also pick up an exclusive football CD containing screensavers, wallpaper downloads, behind the scene footage, images, player interviews and games when they purchase Pepsi packs.
