“Peter has done an outstanding job in getting some of the industry’s best talent into our operations including Angel Antonio and Joey Ong, Bates 141’s executive creative director,” said Jeffrey Yu, chairman, Bates 141 Asia Pacific.

He added, “Angel is definitely action personified; a powerhouse who’s great in motivating and inspiring her team, and winning over clients.”

Antonio has been in the communications business for more than 18 years. As the general manager, she was instrumental in growing the agency with new client accounts including Japan Tobacco International, PruLife UK, Sykes and a number of local companies who are looking into marketing for the very first time.
Antonio also hails from a strong background in activation and has experience in mainstream advertising. Prior to Bates 141, Antonio worked at Ogilvy Action and JWT. At JWT, she was the Southeast Asia regional management director for the Unilever Knorr account.

In response to the appointment, Antonio said, “It is a privilege and, more excitingly, a challenge to lead such a young, energetic and talented team. Tapping into our strong local insights, we will continue to help our clients develop strategic, creative and innovative solutions to any business problem they may have.”
