New Zealand's Professional Public Relations signs up with Burson-Marsteller

AUCKLAND - New Zealand agency Professional Public Relations (PPR) has announced an agreement with global communications firm Burson-Marsteller.

The PPR Auckland operation was established in 1998 as part of the wider PPR network which has offices in each state in Australia. Under the deal, PPR will take over public relations in New Zealand for many of Burson-Marsteller’s multinational clients, some of which include Sony, 3M and McDonald’s. Noting the increasing global focus on the region, Burson-Masteller Asia-Pacific CEO Bob Pickard welcomed the agreement.

Alongside giving Burson-Masteller clients access to the New Zealand market, the agreement will also deliver PPR’s local clients including Emirates Airlines, Bunnings Warehouse and Stanley Black & Decker the opportunity to conduct PR work in international markets. “This move by Burson-Marsteller and PPR acknowledges New Zealand’s desire for greater international economic reach and impact,” Sally Haysom, executive chairman of PPR New Zealand, said.
