Greater China: Osim turns focus on mental relief with iSymphonic

HONG KONG: Healthcare product marketer Osim has launched a massage chair that can synchronise massage with a home's entertainment system.

Osim marketing manager Jenny Yip said the iSymphonic AV massage chair would provide users with both physical as well as mental relaxation, often overlooked by rival models.

The iSymphonic model is equipped with an electronic panel that allow users to synchronise what they watch and see with the pace and intensity of the massage. Yip said the iSymphonic had been launched to differentiate Osim's product from competing models, which focus mainly on alleviating physical exhaustion, neglecting the need to provide mental relief.

Local agency L H M created the launch campaign, which carrries the tagline, 'What you see, what you hear is what you feel'.

The TVC opens with a close-up of a pair of female eyes, followed by a tap dance with the focus on the ear. The sound of the tap dance is then synchronised with the massage of the chair. The TVC is supported by print and, for the first time, Osim has booked extensive placement on the railway network. It has bought the MTR's mega package of 500 slots per week instead of the usual 120.
