Fitch to chair design jury at Spikes Asia

LONDON - Rodney Fitch (pictured), the chairman and CEO of Fitch Worldwide, will be the design jury president for Spikes Asia Advertising Festival to be held in Singapore between 16 and 18 September.

The newly added design category at Spikes Asia will honour creative and innovative use of design and the categories within it will broadly include packaging design, brand identity and environmental design.

“I had often wondered why Cannes never honoured design; for isn't design the very platform on which so much creative endeavour is based?” said Fitch. “Design is at the very heart of all creative work; from ads to film, from digital to shops, design is the glue that holds the creative industries together.”

Having been in the design industry for about 40 years, Fitch has served as a member of the design council and the past president of Chartered Society of Designers, D&AD and Cannes Lions in 2008.
