BRI hands Simpedes to Havas duo

JAKARTA - Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), one of Indonesia's largest financial services groups, has placed creative and media duties for its rural savings product Simpedes - worth over US$2 million - with Havas agencies Euro RSCG and MPG Indonesia, respectively.

Euro RSCG and MPG secured the account following a four-way full-service pitch that included McCann Erickson, Fortune and DM Pratama, along with their media partners. Incumbent Coleman Hondoko were not invited to the pitch

BRI developed Simpedes in 1984 as a convenient savings product for Indonesia's large rural population.
