While Chongsrichan declined to comment on the development, Y&R Asia president Ambar Brahmachary noted that Sohn will retain his position in charge of the Y&R Group in Thailand.
“We’re excited with exploring the opportunity of starting up something,” said Brahmachary, who took over regional management at Y&R in late 2006. “Everybody in the industry has noted Wiboon and Passapol’s sheer brilliance in creativity.”
It is thought that one of the names under consideration for the new agency is ‘Monday’.
Meanwhile, Euro RSCG Flagship has replaced Wiboon and Passapol by hiring Roenchai Prompicharn from Idea Avenue as its new ECD.
