XM Asia show picks May date for Suntec

SINGAPORE Regional exhibition industry show, XM Asia - postponed since January - has been confirmed for May. XM Asia managing director Ms Cornelien Baijens said the event will now take place at Suntec Singapore from May 7-8. "We have finalised the co-operation with the Union des Foires Internationales (UFI), the worldwide association for exhibitions, and will now organise the XM Asia Meeting together with the UFI," Ms Baijens said. The event is themed "Business Strategies for Exhibition Organisers - Tips and Techniques for Future Growth" with a focus on China. The conference will have three main topics - invest in branding to beat recession, invest in technology to reduce costs and invest in markets. "Hopefully this date will work better. The response I have received from some of the speakers and (potential) attendees is positive," Ms Baijens added. Ms Baijens added she also hoped to attract delegate interest from Europe and the US for the event.
