UM takes two accounts in Taiwan

TAIPEI - Local homecare product brand Farcent has appointed Universal McCann as its media agency-of-record.

The Mediabrands agency was appointed following a trial project and will now oversee media planning and buying for Farcent, which has a regional presence. 

The company currently manufactures deodorisers, dehumidifiers, moth repellents, de-dusting products and detergents, and has operations in China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. 

According to a statement, Farcent was “more than satisfied with Universal McCann’s delivery” of “effective and innovative solutions to meet [its] marketing objectives”.

Separately, MIN Communications, a global computer games maker, has hired Universal McCann as its regional media agency-of-record. 

The company is looking towards overseas growth, having established a network of channels for its games in various worldwide markets. 

Universal McCann Taiwan will manage all the media planning and buying for MIN in the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau markets.
