Time opens door to coffee chains for Journey issue

ASIA-PACIFIC: Time has joined forces with leading coffee chains around the region to promote its annual Asian Journey summer double issue.

The magazine is collaborating with a total of 89 outlets belonging to Pacific Coffee in Hong Kong, Spinelli Coffee in Singapore, San Francisco Coffee in Kuala Lumpur and Seattle's Best Coffee in Tokyo.

The promotional offer gives coffee lovers the chance to buy their favourite drink and get a copy of Time's Asian Journey issue at a special price.

Time Asia PR manager Azmar Sukandar said the promotion aimed to reach upmarket individuals.

"These coffee outlets are normally located in business districts or affluent neighbourhoods, the place where our core target audience is likely to be found," she said.

Asian Journey is one of Time's most popular special issues, with newsstand sales that are 25 per cent higher than normal

This year it focuses on the 'Journey home' as renowned Asian writers and photographers living outside the region revisit their roots.
